Terrible Destruction on the Temple Mount

Recently the legal advisor of the Israeli Government visited the Temple Mount and was shocked to see the terrible destruction which the Arabs together with the Islamic Movement in Israel are engaged in. This visit came after The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement submitted a petition to the Supreme Court asking that the destruction being performed by the Arabs in the beautiful halls, called the Hulda Halls, be immediately stopped. These halls were the main entrance for millions of pilgrims during the Second Temple period. His report after the visit had to be an answer to the petition by the Faithful. The report also shocked all the Israel people and everyone in the world who heard about it.

temple In the report, he wrote that the Arabs had dug 10 metres (33 feet) deep over a large area next to the so-called Solomon's Stables in order to build a new entrance to the area. This was done after they had built a mosque in the Stables, which is the biggest in the Middle East. Solomon's Stables were never actually stables but were halls which were part of the Second Temple complex which were built by King Herod and were used for worship in the Temple. The first barbaric destruction and new building in the area came when the function of the area was changed and the mosque built. Along with this work, they destroyed monuments which had remained after the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE. This destruction and building of the mosque is a part of the Arab activities to destroy any Jewish identity on the Temple Mount and any evidence which had remained for 2,000 years since the Temple existed on this holy hill. Their goal is to completely convert the Temple Mount and to make it into an Islamic site. The so-called "Palestinian Authority" is responsible for this vandalism and in reality they even control the Temple Mount directly under the orders of the terrorist murderer, Arafat.

They know very well the deep significance of this holy hill to the Jewish people, Israel and all the world. They know the desire of everyone to purify the Temple Mount from the foreign pagan worshippers who make this abomination against the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Who consecrated this place to be His house. They know that the G-d of Israel will remove them from this place just as He removed all the other foreign enemies and pagan worshippers who robbed this most holy place from the people of Israel. He judged them and removed them from history. They are trying to stop the march of the G-d and people of Israel back to the house of G-d and to the place which is and will forever be their very focus, their heart and their soul. They do it in such a barbaric way without any respect for G-d, the Creator and Father of all of us, and they are lifting their hands against His holy house and site. We know that, like all the enemies of G-d and Israel who lifted their hands against G-d and His holy house, they will be judged by G-d Himself.

At the time of this writing (14 December 1999), they continue this destruction and the building of the mosque. Many thousand cubic metres of earth are being taken away by trucks (yesterday their were 120 trucks) which are working day and night to accomplish this work quickly before they are stopped. This work is done with no regard to any holy archaeological remains from the Temple. The earth is thrown in the Kidron Valley, east of the Temple Mount; so much earth has been placed there that a new hill has been formed. They throw the earth together with all the remains. Friends of the Faithful Movement who have gone to check the situation have found many archaeological remains which have been destroyed. The heads of the Antiquities Authority in Jerusalem stated, after they had checked the destruction, that the Arabs are making the greatest destruction since the destruction of the Temple itself in 70 CE. It is like a destruction of the Third Temple. Everyone who has seen this barbaric destruction and the terrible damage that has been caused to the remains of the Temple started to cry and to mourn and tore their garments in despair. A deep sorrow came to the hearts of the Israelis, especially when they saw that nobody is doing anything to stop it. Unfortunately, the Israeli Government is in a position of terrible weakness and they are afraid to challenge the Arabs and stop the work, even though they have the legal and godly right and duty to do so. It is such a tragedy to see the Israeli government, which has all the strength and ability to stop this barbaric destruction, in this position of weakness and fear of Arab or Islamic human reactions but not of the Almighty G-d of Israel and the universe. It is a tragedy to see the silence of the great powers in the world, including the UN, who are supposed to be Christians. This most holy site should be very holy and important to them as well. All of them prefer the Arab oil, money, votes in the UN, and other materialistic advantages that they believe the Arabs can give them if they remain silent rather than believe in the Almighty G-d Who will give them His moral values and laws. They continue their hypocritical behaviour of taking the Temple Mount, Jerusalem and the land which G-d gave in an eternal covenant and give it to their materialistic allies, the Arabs and the Moslems.

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement is now in a state of great sorrow and sadness because of this terrible destruction and the critical situation on the Temple Mount, Jerusalem and the land of Israel. But this will never break us or stop our activities. More than this, we feel deeply the criticalness of this time. G-d is giving us strength and encouragement to intensify and double our activities. We reject all this weakness and hypocrisy. As real soldiers of G-d we are ready to fight and struggle for Him, for His Name, for His Word and for His most holy site and house. We are ready to sacrifice everything in our lives for Him and we trust in Him completely.

The first step that the Movement made was on Tuesday, 7 December 1999 (see Hanukkah article, Marching with the Torch of the Maccabees to the Temple Mount) ,when we marched and demonstrated against this barbaric destruction and for G-d and His house. On the same early morning, the Faithful made an urgent petition to the Supreme Court of Israel asking that the destruction be immediately stopped, that the site be restored to its original state (if this is still possible after such a destruction) or as close to that state as possible, and to immediately arrest all those involved in the destruction and illegal building of the mosques and bring them to court. We are doing our best to ensure that this petition will be considered soon and we wonder why up to today (14 December 1999) this has still not been done. We have also called on the Israeli people and the Israeli leadership to throw off their weakness and fulfill their godly duty. G-d will never forgive anyone who does not do this. The Israeli people are full of sorrow and anger. From all sides they are calling on the Government to fulfill its duty. We are looking forward to this occurring before it is too late.

Everyone in the world who reads this urgent report is called on not to be silent but to act! Please send petitions and letters to the Israeli Government, to Prime Minister Barak, to the UN, to the European Union, to President Clinton and to your own governments protesting this anti-godly barbaric destruction and the building of mosques on the site of our beloved G-d (Many email addresses are listed). Please send this report and your letters and petitions to the media in your countries and ask them to react and to raise their voices against this terrible situation. This will be your part in the fight and your dedication with all your devotion to our G-d and Creator and His holy house, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The G-d and people of Israel expect you to do this as soon as possible and will never forget that you did this at a critical time when it was so needed. We shall continue to trust only in the G-d of Israel and the Universe and He will be with us. Nobody can stop His determination to redeem His holy site, the Temple Mount, Jerusalem, the people and land of Israel and all mankind. We shall be with Him in this critical and great moment.

    Subject: Temple Mount Destruction
    Dear Israeli friend:

As Christians who support just Jewish causes worldwide, including your sovereign homeland, we are shocked and outraged at the destruction recently by the Arabs of your priceless heritage under the Temple Mount; and equally perplexed by your being intimidated into silence and non-action.

Remember how the world was outraged about the "tunnel expansion" misinformation a few years ago ?

Remember the Holocaust...and that the same spirit of hatred motivates your contemporary enemies..whether you admit it or not.

    Awake O Israel !

If George Bush can "draw a line in the sand" from Washington over Iraq (and draw two "no fly zones" to this day)
WHY CAN'T YOU DRAW A LINE IN THE SANDS OF YOUR SOVEREIGN ISRAEL ?
Quit appeasing your enemies...or your NEVER AGAIN vows will be but another slogan in the dust of history.
We speak to you out of concern for your future, and belated thanks for our Christian heritage.
    G-d help us !

    Letter to the Editor

EXCERPTS from FEATURE Section article subheaded "Chester resident appalled at human rights situation in Palestine"; taken from Sept. 15, 199 issue of "The Bulletin and The Progress Enterprise", Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada:
"Joanna....and her boyfriend Adam lived in the region (of Bethlehem)...throughout the fall and winter of last year. She says she doesn't have a lot of respect for the Israeli army. They're brutal....We looked...and we saw soldiers shooting five or six Palestinian boys with rubber bullets because they were throwing stones. It's more like an apartheid state.

I did...participate in a March in support of the 2000 Palestinian prisoners who are on a hunger strike to protest Israel's refusal to release them...shortly before Israel reneged on a promise to release Palestinian political prisoners.

The most shocking thing about Gaza as a whole is the poverty of the people (Adam) says Westerners shouldn't automatically support Israel, and should learn to question the media's portrayal of events and conflicts around the world, and how we always look at the news in one way. There are always two sides to a story"

Note: As the entire newspaper is too long to quote, EXCERPTS have been quoted concerning Israel only, in order that the internet reader knows what is being commented on, in the following CFICEJ "Letter to the Editor"

    Dear Sir/Madam;         Oct. 9,1999

    Re: Sept. 15/99 "FEATURE":......pg. 47
I write in reply to Mark Roberts report, realizing he is not the source of the matters that trouble me concerning the article. Neither am I Israeli or Jewish, but rather a gentile Christian who has been to Israel , Jordan, Lebanon 36 times since my first visit in 1974; more than half the visits being as a Tour leader for Christian pilgrimages.

I believe Joanna and Adam properly give their interpretation of what they observed in Bethlehem, and in Jordan and Egypt, but my concern is the conclusions which might likely be drawn by your readers concerning Israel, the IDF and Arab poverty.

Firstly, regarding "O Little Town of Bethlehem", most Christians have been effectively driven out by the Arab Muslims who, for starters a few years ago became the majority and ordered Christians not to make Easter-eggs because "there is nothing here to celebrate".

Since then, Bethlehem being in the West Bank, has been given over totally to Arafat's people; and is no longer under Israeli jurisdiction (except as to Defense and Terrorism). On Christmas Eve two years ago, Arafat stood on the roof of the cradle of Christianity (the Church of the Nativity) and stated among many other things that his people had returned to the birthplace "of their Palestinian Savior"; note not "a Jewish Saviour", humanly speaking.

As to the IDF I was pleased to read "As long as you don't throw rocks, nobody shoots you", but some of the "rocks" being thrown and dropped on soldiers and civilians alike in Israel are, for example", cement building blocks, old car engines and the like.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are one of the worlds most disciplined Forces, and their code of conduct is very high indeed. Just recently, for example, the Israel Supreme Court ruled that detained and suspected terrorists and prisoners can in no way be physically forced to "talk". In the Middle East this is unheard of; where Arafat's regime executes Arabs who sell (or assist to sell) real estate to any Jew or Jewish organization; and where many Arabs are dead and nearly beaten to death by Arafat's "Security Forces". As Mr. Natahanyu once said: "We Israelis live in a tough neighborhood"..where civilians are equally targeted by Hamas, Hezbollah, the PLO extremists, as part of a reign of terror against Israel and Israelis.

There are no Israeli terrorists operating in Arab enclaves, but Arab terrorists financed and armed by most of the 21 Arab nations around Israel, finance and train young men for car-bombing, bus-bombing, kidnapping, knifing, shooting, murdering Israelis regularly.

The article also implies that Israel is unreasonable in refusing to release "Palestinian political prisoners". In fact only prisoners with blood on their hands are the only ones remaining prisoners. Last week a busload of released Arab prisoners was unloaded at Bersheba, in the West Bank"; and the Arab authorities immediately handed them guns and weapons.

One other point: Arab poverty is not caused by Israel, who to the contrary allow tens of thousands of Palestinians to come to work in Israel (at wages far exceeding those at home...if there were any jobs at home) If Arabs are poor (and many aren't) it is because of their leaders who in every case, except possibly modern Jordan) are victims of dictatorial Monarchs who spend their country's wealth on themselves, their families and friends; with no concern for their people.

Those surrounding Arab nations need laborers desperately, but they will not allow Arabs who want to leave so-called "Palestine" citizenship or work permits. Instead they leave them where they are to war against Israel.

The real solution to the Middle East dilemma is for those 21 Arab states to move away from dictatorships towards democracies like Israel itself; now being cautiously followed in that direction by Jordan and Turkey.

    Respectfully submitted,

    Alan C. Lazerte

I am concerned that Israel is compromising its G-d given land...

Terry Stewart, Canada (Fri, 10 Sep 1999)

    Dear Mr. Netanyahu,

As a Charismatic Christian, with a deep love for the Jewish people and Eretz Israel, I write this letter out of concern. I am concerned that P.M. Barak is allowing himself to be blackmailed by Yasser Arafat regarding this whole Wye agreement business. I am very concerned, because, we as evangelical, Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians pray regularly for the peace of Jersusalem but NOT for Israel to be backed into a corner by legalised "terrorists". I believe the Palestinians are Arabs and should not be given a nation within Israel. The other Arab countries have their land. Israel's borders, I believe in the Torah, have been defined. I admire your past efforts at preserving Israel's boarders. Would you please reconsider and enter politics once again with the view to securing Israel's borders and putting a stop to this madness of so-called land for peace? Please, please don't let Syria have the Golan. As a gentile Christian, I identify with the State of Israel.

This land is YOUR land. I think what is needed is a very TOUGH stand COME WHAT MAY. Arafat has no intention of stopping until he tries to take over even more land. Would you please reply Mr. Netanyahu? I follow Israeli affairs on Arutz 7, Jerusalem Post, Ministry of Foreign affairs, ICEJ (International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem and its Canadian affiliate), Christians for Israel and also, other Jewish websites, Hash HaTorah, etc. and some Messianic sites too. Israel needs strong leadership like you provided.

    Sincerely, Shona Tova, Shalom,

    Terry Stewart, Burlington, Ontario, Canada

Since October 1986, Captain Ron Arad, a navigator in the Israeli Air Force, has been held prisoner of war in Lebanon.
Although Ron was known to be in good physical condition when he was taken prisoner, there has been no news of him since October 1987. Until the present day, he has not been accorded the fundamental right of any prisoner - visits by a representative of the International Red Cross.

Since there has been no word from Ron Arad himself or any reliable information about his condition or whereabouts, his family is appealing to anyone who can assist in obtaining information about him or establishing contact with him, so that he may return to his home and family as soon as possible.

The U.S. had not warned Israel, and Pollard whose family had been gassed in the Holocaust, did warn Israel. Pollard (in spite of a plea bargain to the contrary) was given a "Life without parole" sentence as a result of unjust interference in the case by Casper Weinberger, U.S. Secretary of Defence. Spies for enemy countries have consistently received lesser sentences. Since incarceration Pollard has married a Canadian (Elaine Zeitz); and we are among those asking that Pollard's sentence be commuted by President Clinton so Pollard can go to Israel where he was recently awarded Israeli citizenship for saving Jews from potential gas attack.

    EXPOSING ANTI-SEMITISM AND ANTI-ZIONISM AT THE U.N.
U.N. Anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionism: The U.N. (both General Assembly and Security Council) is habitually unjustly condemnatory of Israel. Nearly one-third of all U.N. resolutions condemning nations have been against Israel; which has only 1/1000th of the world's population. The U.N. said nothing against Jordan when in the 1948 War Jordan captured the West Bank and annexed them to Jordan. Yet when Israel won the 1967 "Six-Day War" and retook the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza the U.N. immediately convened and condemned Israel with Resolution 242 demanding return of land contrary to international practice. Again in 1973, after Israel won the sneak attack against her known as the "Yon Kipper War" the U.N. met and passed Resolution 338; again contrary to Israel. Further in December 1995 the U.N. General Assembly passed another Resolution denying Israel the right to Jerusalem, or any part of it, as its capital, hypocritically, as Israel was celebrating the 3000th anniversary of King David making it Israel's ancient capital. These are but a few examples of the U.N. conspiracy against Israel.
